Copyright infringement

There was a post, an embedded YouTube video of a mentalism effect, in this very spot at one time. A faithful reader pointed out to me that the video was of a Jay Sankey effect, although the creator of the video failed to mentioned that he had lifted the effect from Jay..

I will not knowingly post video's or effects that are copyright infringements. Because I don't have the time to read every magic book or watch every magic video, I need help keeping both Magic Bullets and Magic Roadshow as magician-friendly as possible. I don't want anyone stealing from me, and I will never publish something that does not belong either in the public domain or is freely gifted to the public.

Bottom line.. if you recognize anything in either of my publications as being the work of another magician, please let me know..

Honestly.. I appreciate the help.

Magic Roadshow - Best of

I wanted to give those of you who might not be subscribers to the Magic Roadshow a heads up that I have just published the second 'Best of' the Roadshow in two weeks.

Two weeks ago I published Best of Magic Roadshow #4, and followed up with Best of Magic Roadshow #5 a couple of days ago. This covers all material published during most of the last year. I should have published a 'Best of' six months ago, but life got in the way and everything was on hiatus until now.

Check it out, I think you'll find something useful in each issue. Heck, I did, and I'm the editor. It's amazing what you can forget in a year.. ;o)

Best of.. Issue 4

Best of.. Issue 5

Cheers

Heads Up !

I'm going to give you guys and ladies who read this blog a little jump over those who read the Roadshow newsletter only...

One of my articles in the next newsletter will be about Squidoo. If you aren't familiar with it, and many folks aren't, it's another social networking site that allows users to create their own pages.

Unlike sites like My Space, Squidoo allows you to set up web pages about virtually any subject you choose. You can set up a webpage about yourself, your hobby's, your religion, your work, whatever you want to write about.

And unlike sites like My Space, you can monetize your site, as well as post links to your other websites. Squidoo will actually post Google ads and Amazon books on your site that relate to your subject, and split the revenue with you.. ;o)

Go to http://www.squidoo.com/street-magic/ , which is a site I created in about thirty minutes, and get a rough idea of what you can do with Squidoo. If you're a magician and don't have your own personal website, go to Squidoo and set one up. It may not be your ultimate dream site, but it far superior to... nothing !

Go to Godaddy and get a domain name, www.Harrythemagician or whatever, and in your Godaddy control panel 're-direct' (really simple to do) your domain name to your Squidoo address. Anyone typing in your domain name will be whisked away to your Squidoo site..

There is a risk of Squidoo becoming a huge sp'am stomping ground. I look for them to adopt a series of standards one day, and it would be a good idea for you to already have a site or two in place.

You can set up an unlimited number of sites, so you're not limited to magic. Be creative..

PS.. When you've set up your magic related site, send me your url and I'll publish it in a list of Roadshow readers who have published sites. We can all 'visit' on anothers site and in turn increase each readers 'rank' in Squidoo's search engine.

I'm going to put together a PDF report sometime in the next week or so, detailing some of the features of Squidoo and what you can accomplish with a minimum of effort. Look for the link in an upcoming issue of the Magic Roadshow..

Magic Roadshow Alive and Well

Yes, the Magic Roadshow is alive and well. During the past couple of days a numbers of sites, owned by others, have tried their best to keep my readers from getting their latest issue. My list server has had problems, and since they generate the link in the email notification their problems have become my problems.

My hosting company has gone down twice and prevented readers from accessing the free ebook.

Again, not my fault.. but definitely my problem..

So, all you guys who have had problems reading your new issue, bear with me.. This link will get you through to issue 61, (unless this hosting company goes down too..)

For those of you who are not a subscriber, you just missed a chance to get Advance Memory Techniques for Magicians and Mentalists ..

As they say - membership DOES have it's rewards..
