Here is another very useful form, courtesy of my friend - David Breth. Feel free to visit the 'form link' at the bottom of the post and print off the form for your personal use...

Ever wonder why you do not receive repeat customers? Or what you can do to give your new and repeat clientele a higher quality of service?
Spit out your pride!

You cannot feed your family and your ego at the same time! Listen to what people have to say, about you, your show and the way you treat others. The magic business is a people business and without people (besides yourself) you will not have a business (whether big or small).

At times (NOT OFTEN) I will ask a customer if they would fill in the evaluation upon the finish of the party/event. I ALWAYS send a thank you card a day after the event. If it is a child's birthday party I send one to the parent(s) and one to the birthday child. I then send (IN a separate envelope) the evaluation. I put the evaluation and another envelope with a stamp, my name, address and return address on it.

I receive 100% of the evaluations back and this will help you help yourself be willing to see yourself as human and not "I am David Breth the amazing magician, look at the fancy card sleights and most of all listen to my cheap jokes and become really bored with all the stuff I can magically do. da-da."

This may sound silly, but many a novice and several seasoned entertainers I know have an arrogance about them that you can smell 2 hours before they enter the room. Years ago I thought my child's birthday show was "off the hook and totally awesome", then I realized after listening to family, friends and customers that it was, as they would state, you have some "neat tricks" and "thank you for the tricks".

Now it is the children that come up to me after EVERY show and say Verbatim "I want you to come to my birthday party - and I will book three to four shows AT THAT PARTY THAT DAY!!!

Why?

I am and continue to be teachable, strive to be humble and am not trying to impress them with "my skills".

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE ANY AND OR ALL OF MY MATERIAL ROYALTY FREE! My entire goal is to be a help and see other's succeed. Remember: "Some people light up a room when they enter, some when they leave".
