I love trying.. and 'trying' is the key word here.. to figure out these great mathematical card tricks. This one doesn't seem possible, but it works. You'll find yourself doing it a couple of times just to prove to yourself that it is what it is.. mathematical card magic.

Hi, this is a baffling trick. Does it have a name, or is the origin known? I'd be curious to know what principle it works on.
This baffles the magician more than the spectator. Anyone capeable of thought would realize that since his card is 9th from the bottom (44th from the top) its pretty easy to find.
What a shame to waste such an ingenous method on such a weak trick.
